CONCRETE SEALING

After we level your concrete, we can seal the appropriate areas to protect your concrete from further freezing and thawing damage.

Sealing will protect your concrete from absorbing water and other substances, which cause an unlevel surface in the first place. After completing your concrete leveling project, we will apply a sealing product to the appropriate areas to protect your concrete from further freezing and thawing damage.

The Two Types of Concrete Sealing

Surface Sealing

Sealing the concrete itself

Sealing the Joints

Sealing between the slabs of concrete

Benefits of Sealing Your Concrete

Protects against salt pitting and flaking off of the top thin layer of concrete that is common in Ohio.

Helps protect against discoloration and makes washing in the future easier.

Can help protect against oil drips, stains.

Prevents algae growth. Did you know that Algae actually eats concrete?

Helps extend the life of your concrete and refreshes the color of the concrete.

Benefits of Sealing The Joints

Protects against water running underneath the concrete causing erosion and settling of slabs.

Keeps water from being trapped in winter which turns to Ice which makes the gaps bigger (Pushes slabs downhill, etc).

Keeps ice from forming UNDER slabs in winter.

Prevents weed/tree growth.

Weeds in joints ( the cracks) cause more dirt and future seeds to get trapped which perpetuates the damage/wear and tear.
